Hi, as much as I like to think I know everything, I really don't... so please help. I want to purchase a lens, I don't have a lot of money so I'm looking at the Rokinon Cine CV12M-MFT 12mm T2.2 Cine Fixed Lens for my AF-100. Reviews are great, but to any of you seasoned professionals, is this a good buy or junk? I shot narrative shorts. I want a professional look without spending $20,000 on a lens.

I do not know what your budget is, but the Veydra 12mm T/2.2 MFT is a better lens, but it is twice the cost too. I looked at the Rokinons, but decided the Veydra Mini Ptimes were a better investment, and gave better results. I have the the 16mm and 35mm on my AF100, and the results are excellent. I am also thinking about getting the 12mm Veydra, but I use longer lenses more often, and the 16mm gives a nice wide shot without distortion. A other 12mm that is very good wide, is the SLR Magic 12mm, and slightly better, the SLR Magic 10mm, which I liked better, improved contrast and it gives a real nice wide shot. However, I have not used the Rokinon, so I can not comment on it. Cheers

I have the Rokinon 12mm 2.2, but haven't used it on the AF100, but have used it on my BMPCC. Here's a link to some fireworks footage from new years eve. Some of the closeups are on the soft but they were blown up.
