Letus Ultimate - Ground Glass Not Spinning?

Hi, everybody, I happened upon a good deal on a Letus Ultimate for a retro camera project and while everything looks very clean, I can't seem to get the ground glass to spin. The buttons on the back light up and go from 0 to 99 and the power button is solid but all I hear is a faint ticking and the ground glass doesn't spin. I emailed Letus but haven't heard back yet but is there anything I could try to fix it or anything to look out for? Also, what cable do I need for 12V external power? So far I've just been testing with AA batteries. Any help or advice for this old subject would be greatly appreciated!
