Nikon 130mm f3.5 for my brevis?

Starting to hunt down glass for my brevis adapter for the HVX. Found a nikon 130mm f3.5, I'm meeting tomorrow to check it out.

Is this too slow? Or any insight on a long prime like that.

That's pretty slow. I have a 135 2.8 and would love something faster. I guess it all depends on the price.

The longer lenses tend to have a larger image circle, so that f3.5 at 200mm should work fine. If you were asking about a 28mm f3.5 I'd say forget it. Edge fall-off on every lens out there varies though, so best to check it out.

One thing that is still a mystery for most (hence Cinevate's Video University!) is light loss as it relates to adapters. With the Brevis imaging element system, if you're using CF1, or CFle, light loss is not linear, meaning you won't actually lose 3.5 stops to the camera.

      Cheers,
      Dennis.
