Thanks for checking Paul... I initially applied for no fewer than 72 full time jobs throughout the country between March and June, and heard back on exactly zero... including the ones for which I’m horrendously overqualified.

Started Concentrating more on finding gig work anywhere by late April. May and June wound up being semi-normal (if slow) income months.

Semi-normal = good for you. All I've got going lately is editing, which is only like 25% or less of my business. I've only had 1 shoot since mid-March

It appears to me that the whole online job application thing is kind of useless. A year or two ago I tried applying to all kinds of jobs related to video or photography on sites like Indeed etc... and nothing came about from it. Just seemed like an abyss. I can imagine that it is even worse now.

              Trooth.

It's so relatively easy to apply that any decent job likely gets inundated with umptytrillion poorly-worded, half-thought-out form applications that the actual ideal candidates get lost. My CPA's husband is an HR manager, and his short take on it was that you just have to make sure to repeat every single keyword mentioned in the job posting, but not TOO much... essentially applying online is like the mythical SEO algorithms.
