    GH2 new years eve- Voigtlander .95 25mm

    Greetings all,

THis is the first couple of days of shooting with the GH2 around new years. This is all shot with the voigtlander usually wide open at 1600 or 3200. You can see the codec breakups on the flashes from the fireworks and the flashes... Other than that I'm really impressed with the camera and the lens. It's a very cinematic combination. The footage is highly compressed and the music is by Peter Brunton of Northwest Community Church. This was primarily a showpiece for the camera for some upcoming music videos shoots...

    cheers and enjoy.

Cool Justyn. I know that overcranking always helps with stabilizing, but did you have any other stabilization? The 0.95 doesn't have OIS, right?

I didn't use any stabilizer for any of this shooting. The 95 doesn't have stabilizer.... I do plan on using a setup for the camera when I get a shoulder brace to go along with the rails and follow focus that I inherited... and I'm planning on using my glidecam with the GH2 and the AF100.

I've just had so many cameras that required such care to shoot handheld that I can shoot pretty decent smooth stuff with anything now. Shooting for years with the XL1 and the HVX certainly bulked up the arms and I believe tai chi and kungfu helped a lot...

cheers.... and the Voigtalander is a super great lens.
