Great All-In-One Manual Lens for 5DmkIV

    17-120:5D.jpg

Okay, I was bored and just being stupid, BUT it does work in 4K(cropped sensor)mode. Lol.

In all seriousness, do Canon DSLR's work with the CN-E lenses? I wasn't even sure if they would attach since the ef mount might actually have been an ef-s.

I can't speak definitively about the other Canon cine zooms, because I don't own any of those, but all of the CN-E Primes do. They are "full frame" lenses and I have used them many times on my 5D as a second (or third) cam. If the other zooms mount(I have a feeling they probably do have a regular EF, not EF-s mount) there would have to be cropping, like what happens with the 4K mode on the 5DmkIV(or in post), otherwise they would vignette HEAVILY on a full frame camera, because the zooms are just designed to cover s35.

The CN-E primes are full frame and work fine on DSLRs. With 5DIII, it looks a bit odd because the lens is larger. However, with the 1DXII, CN-E primes look perfect fit.

The CN-E zooms are s-35. So they will vignette on DSLRs. Good to know that the 17-120 works fine in 4K mode.
