5d3: how to have custom kelvin same as auto white balance?

Hi all,

is there a way to have custom kelvin white balance same as auto white balance.
Many times i like the auto white balance, but want to keep it locked and not change.
while adjusting the kelvin values, it's difficult to get desired white balance.
it either feels too blue or too red, but auto white balance looks very natural.

how can i lock auto white balance or get it to match in kelvin?

Get an expo disc or grey card. Shoot it and then go through the custom white balance menu. Works great and even adjusts for green shifts, I just wish it told you what the wb was so you could communicate with other shooters.
