Aftermarket Batt grip + 5d MkIII

A quick question---for an upcoming shoot I'm thinking of using an aftermarket grip loaded with an extra battery for a longish intvw.

Wondering if anyone has noticed a battery grip helps/hinders any overheating issues that may come up. (For the record, never had an overheating issue yet but just curious if others have noticed any differences.)

Perhaps it's a non-issue?

Deb, I have the Canon grip, and I have never had issues with overheating on my MkIII.

Though I will say that I rarely use it, as it throws off my rails/matte box placement.
