Well, for a mid range zoom, I'd look for the likes of the 24-70mm. I found this while looking in the sale forum: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread...-70-f-2-8L-USM

I'm not sure if that price is good or not, as I haven't looked at getting the older version of the 24-70mm 2.8, but I'm it would serve you well. I love my 85mm 1.2 L, but that is some expensive glass (razor sharp though), and would break your 1k price range.

It depends, are you looking for a prime? Are you looking for a zoom? Any specific type of shots you are hoping to achieve? Without knowing more of what you need it is hard to recommend something. However, you might look at getting a 24-70mm L, as a general, all-around lense.

    Thanks, I'll check them out!

    Considering buying a new lens...

So I've had my 50 1.8 for about 7 months now (which is a great little lens). I've used several L lenses for ENG work but have never invested in one. Would buying into the L series be the best option? Or can anyone suggest a good, vintage cine lens, or any other good lens around $1,000 or less? I know there are so many good lenses around, but I'm basically looking for an upgrade from what I have now.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
Working...
