      Should really wait for the mk IV instead... the 5Ds and r are both completely branded for stills, not video. They have a video function yes, but that's it.

        Correct, they are meant for stills. More specifically, those who are looking to get a stills medium-format-esque camera. Just because it doesn't have the same functionality of the 5D Mk III doesn't mean it isn't a great camera. Ultimately, it will be up to the user to get the right camera to suit their needs. I wouldn't buy a 5DS for cinema work, but would definitely consider it for medium-format grade stills.

          Ofc, that would make sense. Just didn't expect still talk in this section But yes, this might just end up making our Phase Ones look like a bad investment.

            Two things I wasn't expecting

            1-Better video quality vs 5DIII.
            2-Great High ISO performance.

            It's good marketing wise to undersell.

              Not worth the upgrade. Video is about the same. Only get the r if you want to make billboard sized images.
