    Eng lens on canon 5d mk2

    Hi just wanting to know has anybody put a eng lens on a dslr
    I have got a canon hj11 4.7b irse lens that I was going to sell because I have moved to dslr now
    and thinking of converting it to fit my 5d , ant thoughts ?

    There is no way it would cover the full frame sensor in the 5D without some form of optics in between.

      Just read that it does not work with 5d, but I also have got a 60d which should work

        i tried this with the c100. this combo would cover a bit more than aps-c, but would still have some vingetting on FF. notice how not so good everything but the center looks:

        C100 / Aerial Shooter/Editor - NY/NJ

          That lens was designed to only cover a 2/3" sensor.

              if you're that adamant about it, look into b4 zoom lenses on gh2/gh3 using either 2x extender OR ETC mode

                  This is strange territory. I guess you are going for a low cost approach but the camera you want to fit a 2/3" lens is a broadcast video camera which was made to fit the lens. A DSLR with a 2/3" sensor is not useful as there are no interchangeable lenses for still photography made for that sensor size. Step back and realize what you are saying here. DSLRs are not the cure for everything and are good for certain types of production.

                    May be useful on a BMC pocket camera, but 2/3 is a smaller sensor than super 16 as well.
