    LCD Sunshade for 5D Mk3

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a sunshade for the 5D mk3? Not a loupe you have to put your eye up to, but just something that will fit around the LCD to allow me to see the screen in bright sunlight?

I have done alot of searching but no luck...

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

Thx for that Legion6789. I was really looking for something more like this: http://www.carryspeed.com/products/lcd-view-finder

Depends on your budget. Zacuto Z-Finder is my favorite choice, worth every penny.

i have a z finder and although a great product, i am quite literally looking for a sunshade. I do alot of low angle work and the z finder means having to basically lie behind the camera on the ground to achieve focus and exposure! I work mostly run and gun and need to be able to set up the shot very quickly.

Any other advice will be greatly appreciated!

            Now here is a thing.

I have my LCDVF (like a zfinder) on my D600, but Ive drilled a 1/4 hole through it and mounted on a magic arm - thus I have a 'swing away' finder

Ill do a shot if I have a moment..

I don't quite understand what you're looking for. Are you saying you want a sunshade that can easily be moved out of the way for certain shots like what morgan_moore is suggesting? Or one that stays on that is somehow adjustable for awkward positions like low angle shots? If its the latter I'm not sure how it'd be possible. You could do an EVF hooked up to the HDMI out and have that on a magic arm type setup and then it'd be compact and you could look at it at any angle. Basically it'd be like an eyepiece leveler. But I can't see how you could achieve the same thing with a sunshade.

The point is a zfinder or similar means the camera is hard to use when the camera is not to the eye - lo shots and the like

Some of us dont like E(lectronic)VFs due to the electronics, batteries, poor cabling and cost..

Basically at the more expensive end this would be ideal: http://www.carryspeed.com/products/lcd-view-finder It has the eyepiece if you need it but you can flip it up to just let you use the 'box' that the eyepiece attached to as a sun shade. At the less expensive end: http://delkin.com/i-5829814-universa...onal-lcds.html this product (Although its the wrong size and I am loathe to use any sort of adhesive on the camera) is the sort of shade I am looking for.

Doesnt have to be too dramatic, just a shade to allow me to see the LCD clearly during a shoot.

                      Thanks for all feedback.
