    Old lens edge sharpness

I've been using AIS-period manual Nikon prime lenses on a Canon 550D and assume a crop camera gets the sweet spot of the lens quality. Might be getting a 5DII later this year (or the mark III if it's available!) and was wondering about edge sharpness using these older lenses on a full frame camera. Any comments? My query is purely regarding video, not stills.
    Thanks.

They will be softer on the edges unless stopped down- also some vignetting and coma is possible on a full frame (when shooting near wide open). Nothing truly objectionable, just stop down a bit if you have an issue with a certain lens.
