    Upgrade from VMP?

Any significant improvements from the (original) VMP to the Deity d3 pro? I like the idea of granular gain control. Using with my A7SIII. Thanks

What's the one major significant improvement that may exist that we discussed for a few pages in the other thread a few weeks ago?...

        Multiple choice...

        a) XLR adapter
        b) housing
        c) sensitivity
        d) I don't know what a microphone is.

Back to this topic again. My VMP has been taking RF hits at the most inopportune times (aren't they always). Mostly cellphone interference I'm guessing. Does anyone know of any other on camera mic (VMP style) that has better shielding than the VMP?

Regarding RF. If you dont want to pay for a new mic or get a more expensive one, Why dont you try a rf cable. adapt to xlr. Sound devices has some good advice. Send it back to Rode because they say they test all their mics for RF. https://www.rode.com/faq/the-videomi...this-achieved-

Or a cheap experiment is to use a choke like this as suggested on some sound forums for buzzing elimination:
