    need clamp with 5/8-27

I'm looking for something like a Matthews Super Mafer clamp, but instead of a 5/8 baby stud snap in pin, I need a 5/8-27 male microphone mount thread. So I can mount a microphone on a vertical riser of a light stand. Don't ask why, it's not even my project. Just trying to work a problem for a friend.

Any pointers toward such a clamp, or a snap-in pin for a Matthews / Avenger / Manfrotto / etc. clamp that presents a 5/8-27 male thread, gratefully received.

Ive found these VERY good for mounting small items like small mics and radio mic antenna with the right screw thread adaptors. They are NOT strong enough for shotgun mics in blimps.

Any kind of camera or lighting gadget with a 3/8 in stud can be easily adapted to 5/8-27 for use with western-style microphone clips, etc.

Took a few days of digging but I found this Mic-eze M1 clamp that looks like just the ticket. I'm really surprised that equipment like this isn't more common considering the way drums and guitar cabs are close miked in studios and on the road.

If anyone has a better version that does the same thing, please let me know.
