Low end recorders that can label takes by scene and take #?

Any there any low end portable recorders, that are capable of naming files by scene and take # (instead of just "00001"}?

You would have to define low end. BoomRecorder plus an interface would be pretty "low end" from a $ standpoint and is great at naming and sound reports. Tascam recorders can do some naming but it's a bit of a PITA to do it on many.

So what to you think of as "low end", for me that is basically something below say SD, but I suspect you don't consider a $1,000 recorder "low end".

And I am assuming you mean low end in price not quality.
    Cheers

Fostex FR-2LE has a scene/take file naming feature. Name the scene and reset the take count and it advances the take # with each stop/start.
