I've been getting quite a few emails, so I guess I should have made a thread about this some time ago (if it will actually help 
)
If you've registered on the forum recently and do not have any posts on the boards, you will find that you cannot send private messages or edit your profile, your signature, etc.
This is a necessary restriction to help keep a pesky type of spammers at a minimum. Once you make a post on the forum somewhere, a short time after you will be promoted to a usergroup that will allow you full permissions.
If you need to make a post to do this, feel free to make your first one here and introduce yourself
EDIT [Brent Carter]: After a post, you will have ability to do everything but post in the Marketplace. That permission level is granted 60 days after join date.
