A while back I created a thread trying to find a way to automate the process of labeling clips based on their file names so when you produce a daily for a client they can reference what take/clip they like. Update I found a FCPX effect that seems to do the job for $10. If anyone is interested

But you still have to manually write the titles?

Davinci resolve > data burn in > check box for file name and many other things like timecode.

I use a file re namer after copying to the computer like "scene 1 camera A 01", "scene 1 camera A 02", etc then drop all those clips in the timeline, then apply this effect and it automatically puts a title on the clip with the file name so the client has something to reference

The Ninja V makes it easy. You select the 6 letter prefix for the shoot and then manually increment the scene number when you change the scene. The takes are numbered automatically.
