Anyone find any cool new lighting kits at NAB yet? I saw the Hive plasma light, that was cool. Looking for anything else that might be worth looking into. I'm wanting to pick up a few air-travel friendly lights.

Those Lowel LED kits look interesting. The F&V 1X2 looks pretty sweet for interviews.

I have them and like them. But the spectral distribution graph is bulls*%t. There is no way to get a continuous spectrum out of fluorescent lighting, even with these Kinos. I know because I've tested them with a spectrometer.

I've personally never been a fan of the F&V LED lights because they didn't have good color rendering, however it might be worth a second look with their new "Z" line coming out.

Remote Phosphor based, which is good. Output's is supposed to be equivalent to a 300w tungsten, so should be good for a small source.

I've watched a few of the videos from NAB and in most of them, the camera work is terrible - bad framing, poor and slow focus etc. why is that? Surely these guys filming are pro's? Maybe not? ;)
