Here's a little experimental piece I was working on one afternoon to try some lighting techniques and cell shading. I've since abandoned it, but here tis:

Good stuff Kyle.
I'm so jealous of those that can think in the 3d realm. It's the present and even more over, the future. I'm not going to make it, because it's way too cerebral for me. Makes me appreciate it even more. J.

I've been around long enough to know I better check out Kai's stuff when you post.
The 3D part is pretty cool, it looks pretty pro. Not sure about the transition to 2D, though--maybe not as smooth as it could be. Who doesn't like helos and a giant robot?

Reminds me of Robotech/Macross stuff. The walk cycle is a little stiff, but I'm not sure if that was intended stylistically or not, but obvious something done in an afternoon wouldn't be perfect anyways.
Did you model all the buildings too?

No, not just for this. The buildings are left over pieces from that Rods & Wheels open I did for ESPN last year. Recycling rules
