I thought I would never use any 3D programs because of the learning curve. I happened to be at Macworld '07 strolling around the booths like every year and I bumped into the Kinemac booth.
Well, as coincidence would have it, I had a client call me up this week to create a 3D rotating globe. And THEN, two days later, a different client asked if I could make a 3D pin image, similar to a pin they were handing out at an award ceremony. So of course I said yes to both clients like an idiot, never having done this stuff before. Anyway, went to the Kinemac site to dload the demo they had on there and had made BOTH the pin and rotating globe within 2 hours. Not only that, but was able to insert them into FCP projects and incorporate the 3D into live video really quickly, practically no rendering! Anyway, I thought I would just extoll the virtues of this software if you are searching for something easy to create 3D with. I know it does not compare to Maya or anything, but it worked out really well for some simple stuff and I spent $180 on it and made $1500 for pretty much no work at all. Check it: Kinemac |
