Are there any tutorials for an easy way to model a film strip in Maya. Or anyone give me in tips?

Draw it in Illustrator, then export as legacy eps version 3, use loft, planar, etc to create 3d filmstrip...then pat yourself on the back

There is also a cool tutorial for making an animated film strip using After Effects at the Creative Cow website. Might be worth looking at.
