Hey Guys,
I'm selling my Gnomon Workshop DVD's, much discounted. One is the Shake Bundle, which will give you a huge head start in compositing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280023405738 The other is for modeling using Maya and Zbrush, plus UV Mapping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280023400133 Thanks. Matt

I have always recommended the Gnomon DVDs, but I just got a really bad one from them. The Shake 101 Interface & Workflow DVD was terrible. It was one of the worst tutorial DVDs I've ever seen. There appeared to be no planning of the project. The teacher just kinda "did it on the fly". I could go on and on about the DVD, I was getting so frustrated watching it. For examples, he is showing how simple things work together, and he has render-intensive nodes in his workflow unneccesarily slowing everything down to a hault. Then the wild tangents he went on. AAAAHHHH. There were so many simple key elements that seemed to be skipped over as well. Anywho...I got all of that off of my chest. I bought all of the Shake DVDs, and I have also watched the Color Correction title, which was MUCH better. Hopefully the rest will be of the same quality as the Color Correction title.
EDIT - OK, now it's been a few days since I watched that Shake DVD, and the frustration has worn off, and now I feel bad for completely bashing it on here. Last edited by MrPolarBare; 10-08-2006 at 08:48 PM. |
