Default Maya 8 and new 3DS Max Announced

Previewing at Siggraph, no 64 bit support for Mac, but what would one expect from Autodesk...anybody know why they wouldn't implement it?

I watched the Max demonstrations on site yesterday and it has some really cool add ons. The cloth and hair plugins are just awesome.

Yes it's the SIGRAPPH and they had to come out with a new version
Ther is a buzz that there isn't much new features in Maya.

Probably just copies of Maya hair and Maya cloth. I'm disappointed in Autodesk, but I guess this is what was going to happen. They are giving Maya a pointless upgrade and slamming some new features into Max.

I agree too guys, but I'm a Max user and I like the add-ons. Nice touch-up would be a liquid plug-in ripped from Maya. It has one doesn't it?

I think that the Autodesk will be upgrading Max more than Maya, putting it allways behind the Max. If they closed the Maya development they would be hated from numerous Maya users so instead they are just slightly improving it. Just my thought.
