hey,
does anyone know how this guy did that on the elephant?? http://forum.realviz.com/viewtopic.php?t=1876 what is his workflow? did he only used matchmover or did he used image modeler also? thanx!! |

Just matchmover.
You need to solve for the camera motion by tracking static features in the plate.. the cracks, etc. Then you need a seperate solution for the elephant's head motion. You get that by tracking points on the head itself. It's going to track the head as if its a rigid object, so the points on the head you track, you'll get back in your 3d soft as points, with a single animated 'parent' null or zero object. You use those points as part of your 3d mesh to build the base object. In this case, the crest of the head.
