Your article on variable frame rates did hint there was the possiblity for different combinations than advertised...

If you could kindly tell us all of your secrets, I promise not to go Jack Bauer on you...

Well, see, here's the thing -- if you were to shoot at something as low as 2fps, you would get 123 minutes per 4gb card. But you'd have to accept that your footage would have really long exposure times, which might make for time-lapse-style streaks.

Like these, perhaps:

Well, I'd tell you, but -- it's already on the board. Someone else already brought it up.

In fact, I'd never seen his post, so it's something I learned about at the BootCamp from one of our users, who goes by the handle ChakaMonkey...

So, everyone remembers that old chant "2, 4, 6, 8, who do we appreciate?"

Maybe the new one should go:
"2,3,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,23,24,26,27,28,30, 32,34,36,38,40,42,44,46,48,50,52,54,56,58,60, who do we appreciate? ChakaMonkey!"

Because those are the frame rates that your HVX can shoot at.

Today.

No firmware upgrade necessary.

(of course, this is TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED by Panasonic, this is a little bit of a hack, sort of like 'overclocking' in a way, so if you break your camera, don't complain to them, or to me, or to ChakaMonkey!)
