Thanks to Jarred for starting this sub forum.

As we all know, 3D applications are getting better, more prolific (in both apps and abilities), dropping in price, and are becoming more integrated with video work. Since there are more titles thank you can shake a midget at, this forum can cover all titles, and hopefully will be used as a place to ask both software specific and general 3D questions, and how they are integrated and utilized in video/film production.

From Camera Mapping, to character animation, from Poser to Maya, Particles, Dynamics, and live plate integration, let the learning begin.

I'm a Lightwave user, and have a ton of reference material and links to share.

Start posting questions, and let's get to expanding our arsenals.

Peace out, and get your tutorials and learning caps on.

Yo Hudson, how's that plane comin?

Right on!

(I stole this from the other thread)

Working on this engine and more important the Wing(s).

This was my first project using a Tutorial

It is ready for whateva' but I'm sitting on it. I've learned some basic animatoin techniques and am pondering Render options; focusing more on my plane than anything

This si atotal play around idea; have NO IDEA where I'm going with this or what I am doing

I want a real LOGO (For all of those films I make :P) that flies by and shi*e

The background is that SPACE Photoshop thing I did over the Fall.

Rapier/Jarred,

Perfect timing! I was just over at ... the other forum... looking for some advice for special effects. Now I can live here... for... ev...er, ... for...ev...er.

Rapier,

Could you list some of the popular 3D/SFX programs and their pros and cons?

This is great guys... really!
