Guys,
this forum inspired me to make my own skater after some members put it together.
This forum is where I discovered the skater in the first place.
So I placing pics here of what I did in our carpentry department, and if youre interested for more info, please email me.

That's a great piece of work. I like your rotation clamp mechanism. Do your drawings emulate the dimensions of the production skater unit?

Yes it does. The position of the wheels are almost exact. the dimensions are almost the same except that the plywood version is a little thicker around the wheel mounts since its made of wood, to give it strength.

We just finished painting this device last night. We're going to try and post a short sample on the stickypod site as soon as we can.

This afternoon, a telemarketing producer and I looked over its smoothness and tested it by mounting his sony 3ccd TRV on it but we werent able to record video coz there was something wrong with his camera.

We'll do some shots with our DVX tmrw.
