Default best place to get DVX fixed?

does anyone know where the best place is in the Los Angeles area to get a DVX fixed? I took one of my DVX cameras to this place in Burbank, thought it was fixed, went to shoot a wedding in hawaii and the camera wasn't completely fixed.

I believe there are 3 places authorized by panasonic in the LA area.

Which one would you recommend?

Thanks,
Lance

I know of one. When I call them for a head cleaning though, they said it would be about two weeks; but that might have been an uneducated answer from the front desk.

Digitron Electronics, 323-887-0777, 7801 Telegraph Rd. Suite D, Montebello, CA 90640.

We send all our cameras to these guys, who Panasonic on Cahuenga in LA (DVCPRO factory repair) recommended as being only one of 4 places in the whole country authorized to work on the DVX100 series. As kplo mentioned ask for Eric or Simon, and tell them you were referred by DVXuser or EVS.

Out of curiosity, which place in Burbank did you send it to?

I got my DVX back last week, with the EVF broken from VTR Service.

Those guys, Digitron in Montebello. Tell them EVS or DVXuser referred you, and consult with Simon primarily.

to touch up on that, I have the Mack Warranty, is this reliable or did I get suckered into buying a warranty that sucks?

No you should be okay as long as you didn't pay more than $170. Mack is a legit company in NJ, and all the dealers sell their warranties, including us and B&H. However a lot of shady dealers really blow their Mack prices out of proportion to makeup for low camera prices.

Video Clinic in Santa Monica is a good place to go for DVX repair. A number of people I work with frequently, including myself, have used them often with no issues. They have a very fast turnaround - sometimes in the same day.

Don't have their exact address or phone number on hand at the moment, but I do remember it is on wilshire just east of 23rd. If anyone wants it, I can post it here tomorrow.
