After having to miss the questfest, I'm back in! Ready to maximize and utilize my new Canon Camera (loving it so far)! Plan to get this one shot and done early, so I'll have plenty of time to go back and make those changes we always want to make after we don't watch the film for a couple of weeks or so.

UPDATE:

8/16/09 - The script is locked (with possible ending change) and the film is already cast. Just looking for the time to shoot it. Looking at September 12th and 13th. Hopefully I'll only need a day, but planned for 2 just in case. I had a location type in my head, but I just got another idea I'm going to look into. Once I get that locked, then I'll be ready to go.

8/17/09 - Filmed the second part of a comedy sketch I'd been working on and was able to further test my camera and some of the new equipment (including a new DIY dolly). Hope to snap a couple of pics this weekend for the poster and maybe lock down the location.

8/26/09 - Yeah, didn't get any pics or anything accomplished on that end. Did finally finish the skit though and it looks good. We were able to play around with the makeup on Sunday and some of it came out okay and some not so good. Liquid latex hurts. Did learn a couple of things and we have some ideas that we'll test further this weekend.
The shoot this weekend went great. Of course we always seem to run out of time. There was about a page that we didn't get to shoot, but will do that this coming Saturday.

9/22/09 - My producer really came up on a cool location. He talked to a lady about buying or renting some gutted cars and that all led to her working with us and letting us use her place. At first when I saw it, I thought it was cool, but then she showed me this place in the back and I was flabbergasted! The place was perfect, so after getting a permit for the second weekend in a row and calling the police to let them know what we were doing, we cancelled the first location and used the new one.

The new location was a filmmakers dream and Dianna (the owner) really went above and beyond to help us. I'd love to give the type of location away, but I think I'll just post a few bts shots.
