I have some time until dead line so I figure why not shoot another. This film is fairly simple, 1 location, 3 actors, No VFX, Just Dialogue.

Just something fun that I put together for some friends who wanted to curse..A LOT.

2/8/09-Rehersals at my house. I need to have them know this front to back since most of the film is one take

2/18/09-Rehersal 2 is scheduled.

What's with all the double entries this fest? You guys have too much time on your hands.

Great tagline.

LOL. Thanks. This film as it looks right now, does not seem like it will be to difficult to shoot. This film is really just us having some fun and we are trying to figure out how to shoot it in one take. It probably won't happen but I really want to do it. A 6 minute continous shot is tough to pull off.

I was wondering the same thing. I like working on multiple projects, but my energy is going into one project this time.

Interesting info so far. I think I can sense where it is going. ;)

Agreed. I did a 2:30 one once and that was hard enough. I guess if you REALLY map out every movement/setup/line to a T and adjust your lighting/sound around that, you'll be fine. And find a remote focus pull and someone who's good with a steadicam!

The way it is looking now. We could possibly pull off about a 2 minute continuous shot. Anything beyond that would just be impossible for what we are working with.

We planned for months for the Puppeteer and things did not go as expected but it was fun and I learned a lot. But it was such a relief to have it done. I wanted to concentrate on something else. I just kept tinkering and tinkering around with it until it lost the vibe I was trying to get, then I had to bring it back.

And could someone please tell me how to quote text from multiple postings

Hey filthrich, I hope you get it done... the one-take thing sounds interesting.

Welcome to the fest (again).

Dude, i'm a BIG fan of one take shots. The planning that has to go into that is exhausting, especially doing complex camera moves around the actor's blocking. Wow. I'll tell ya this: doing it on a dolly is easier than doing it on a dolly AND jib at the same time. Either that or Steadicam it... or if you have a good shoulder support rig and a nice setup, it can be so cool.

Last time on "The Trade" I had some 1 take shots, but there wasn't enough camera movement in the shot, although the actors and their blocking was great. As long as you have camera movement, even something small, liek a slow dolly move.. wahtever.. it will help the look of it so much.

Good luck with the next entry and let me know if you need a poster. I have some downtime on the weekend.
