How the shoot went:

First day of shooting went well. We shot all the kids scenes and it went fairly well. Felt long, but really, we shot it in about 5-6 hours including a lunch break.

Everyone got to the location at about 9, and we started shooting at 10. The first shot took a while, and I was worried that schedule would go all wonky.

The kids did a great job and I was amazed by it. We broke for lunch at around noon and started shooting again at 1.

We wrapped up at around 3ish, and I had a good feeling that we have everything covered.

This was the first film for me where I actually had people help out (sound mixer, producer) so it was all new, and that means, me being nervous. I was pretty worried about the shoot and how it would go, especially relying on others that I had
to be apart of it. In the end, I was satisfied and I now know a sound mixer I can hire for all my shoots!

Kegan helped out with the direction, and gave some nice insight on one of the scenes in terms of "cinematography".

All in all, the day went smooth, not to many problems.

Hope you all enjoy this thread!

I originally told Kegan that I wanted him to team up with my this fest, but I wanted him to be in control more on the business side (casting, locations, equipment, cast/crew)

We'll talk, but I think I'm the cinematographer, I'm definitely the Editor/CC, but I'd like to Direct as well.

I know in this business you can't, and shouldn't do it ALL, but I want to expand both my filming and directing skills.

With that being said, I'd like to be Director with Kegan, (He can be AD or something) But we'll both have say in whatever we do!

I'll be producing and AD'ing on this short. Robbie wants to give directing a solid go and I'm more than willing to let him. I'll also have creative input however and we'll make this a real team effort.
