I tried the terminal code on the two clips and it didn't join them. However, my log and transfer in FCP has been working great and I haven't had any glitches so far.

it's a straight binary join command, so just use whatever the appropriate command is in mac os. the lame part of this workaround is you're going to have to evaluate which clips belong to a larger contiguous file and which ones do not. yes, the naming convention helps, but it still can be a tedious process nonetheless.

As previously stated, Log and Transfer will not stitch the clips together properly.

TOAST WILL.
