Short, simple, funny.

Pretty well done, clearly could have a bit better sound/less handhelp and cleaned up a few things here and there, but you did a great job for just doing a short/small project.

Mind if I ask what you used your budget too? The Hotel Room?

thanks guys

to Jolfer: $150 went to the hotel, and the other $25 was split between a large pizza and tape stock...
speaking of which, in case anyone wanted to know (doubt it) the final project ended up being 11 minutes long... and we shot around 100 minutes worth of footage. Without the flexability of DV we wouldnt be able to roll for improv as much as we did. Gotta love it.

To me, the place looked too clean, and the young woman... well, to much like the girl next door... ok, not the girls next door where I grew up, but the girls next door when I would visit friends in suburbia... The girls next door where I lived in my youth, did take in gentlemen callers at most hours of the night, unless the police had come through...

Personally I wouldn't have probably noted the cleanliness of the room if it had been lit a bit darker... (would that be unlit...)...

I do think I like the camera verite look... but I'd probably like a few shots from 'above' rather than ones from just below eyelevel and from lower towards upper.

hi ctownfilm, did ya have much complications securring a hotel room? I have a few scenes set in a hotel room and I hear they generally want to see insurance.

poq im guessing he guerilla styled it and put the dvx in a bag and just shot. he didnt need any tripod or anything tthat would call attention to himself.

to POG: jambredz is correct, we shot guerilla style. when booking a hotel, DO NOT tell them you plan on shooting a film there, unless of course you have a decent budget and plan on getting permits.
actually you can pretty much steal shots anywhere, we found out. if you ask permission, theyll likely deny it, so just film where you want and act as if you cant be bothered(dont call too much attention to yourself, though)
