Remote start / stop
hello, does canon 5d / 7d have a remote record start / stop function for video recording, that controlled with a remote start stop like varizoom or pc ?

Is is possible to remotely start stop the video recording of 5D/7D ? |

nope - the only way is to use the infrared remotes - no wired approach - although i have seen someone rig a remote to 2 fiber optic cables directly to the infrared receivers. sort of crazy 'lame' desperate, but so far it's the only way. basics getting a remote to hit the button.
