Default Anton Bauer wireless mount options

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if any of you out there with the HPX300 use some sort of wireless mount for your camera. I used to have a Sony DSR series that uses the Anton Bauer mount and it had an adapter on the side where you can screw in the AB wireless mount to. I wonder if there is something like that for the 300.

I've searched the AB website and can only see the side mount but not the part where it would go over the battery mount in order for you to screw in the 2 screws from the side mount.

I've considered going for the slot-in wireless options from Sennheiser or Lectrosonics but the cost is out of my budget at the moment. I'm currently using the bulky Audio Technica dual channel 1800 series wireless kit. Is there some kind of box for this as well for the AB mount?

Thanks for any help.

Han

Hey Han, I've got the Sennheiser EK3241 and I really like it. It's easy to use and always working under every condition. Cheers Max

Those won't work with the 300... I used to have a Sony DSR-450 and used Anton Bauers - on the V-mount to AB adapter you could attach the stuff listed above, but not to to the 300 directly. I went with the Lectrosonics slot-in, and I'm in heaven. The Sennheiser slot-in is one channel only.

That is the piece you want. I had a DSR 450, and when I sold it neglected to switch it out. I have since bought the camera/battery plate and it works great with the two additional parts that the mics mount on. I have the Sony mics, would love to move to the Lectrosonics but no can do for now. So to mount two mics you need three separate pieces. If need be I could find part numbers or take a photo.

This Anton Bauer Universal Backplate (#UNIVERSAL BP) will also work with both, the BEC-ABSPU Side Plate and the BEC-AT1810/20 Audio-Technica Receiver Holders.

Thanks for the links Henry. I actually saw the universal back plate maybe a few hours after posting. I'll probably order one and see if it's a nice and snug fit. Hoping there aren't anything soldered on the back of the AB battery plate so I can just unscrew some screws and slap this in the middle.

Max,
If you don't mind me asking, what was dealer price on that Sennheiser EK3241?

Thanks again everyone,
Han

Han,

I believe that's exactly how it should works. I would also like to order that combo so please tell us if it worked for you. I do have the AT-1810 receiver which, by the way, along with the AT899 lavalier mic is a very reliable single-channel set!

Cheers!
