Default Ambient Occlusion For Maya Users :)

I've always loved the way it looks and never really understood how it's used (rendered in layers is my guess) ? Thought I'd share.

Here are some pictures to check out. The first two are rendered in MR, GI + Caustics and brought together in the third picture with Photoshop. The AO on the bottom and other pic with color is at 30% opacity. Not really sure how the AO is really suppose to be layered, but gave it a try from what I've read. I played around with the settings a little from the TUT on the AO.



Any comments, help, pointers, etc.. Please feel free.

Now that I look at it I might need to bring up the reflectivity & Cosine Power a little more on the Phongs (Head, legs, hands).
