Panasonic HVX200 Rebates

I know this has been discussed in the past. However, has anyone received their rebated items from HVX200 purcases as of late? I put my request in over 2 months ago and have yet to receive my goodies.

I just got a letter from Panasonic saying that they are going to send a 16GB card when they are available, since they can't get enough 8GB cards.

My friend was on the HVX Book offer and still hasn't received his. That shouldn't be backordered right?

Received Barry’s book & and the same letter last week. Yesterday I received the 16G card. Now I have to figure out how to update the cameras software. Apparently I have to go get a bigger SD card to do that-the one I have for my scene files is only 32m and it has to be over 64.

The firmware file is only about 18MB, so the 32MB card you have is fine. Scene files are text files that are about 1KB each, so they won't even make a dent on that card.

There is a sticky thread in the Technical forum with useful links, including the location where you can download the firmware.

I could do with a 16GB card......what is the prerequisite for that??? I got the camera in August last year. Barrys book is great, bought his DVDs today and look forward to checking them out! Could still do with a 16Gb card though!

i have received no notice from panasonic at all concerning my 16GB card. It seems odd if others are receiving theirs!
