The license stipulates 1. But you can violate that and install it on as many as you like as long as they cannot see each other on a network.

they can actually see eachother on the network, it is when you go to launch it on one computer and if it is already running on another computer is when they will find eachother.

but someone mentioned that his wouldnt install at all in this instance?

either way, my post is irrelevent, since the license in the retail box is for ONE (1) computer only.

you should probably check with apple about multiple computer/user licensing. remember, 2 legit to quit.

    Hi.

    Have this changed?
I thought it was ok to install on 2 machines as long as you don't use more than one @ the time...

EG you main + your on-set laptop.

    Hm...

Bit of an urban legend there. The license is for one computer only. That said, Apple is likely thrilled that you've chosen not to be a weaselly pirate in the first place and is not going to kill you if you happen to put the same copy on a desktop and a laptop that are to be used only by you the license holder. It's meant more to curb one office or computer lab from all using one single user license. (But technically you would be in violation.)

Actually the current EULA grants you license to install FCP on both one Apple Laptop and one Apple Desktop as long as only one copy is used at one time.
