i got mine listed lightly used, theres no milage or hour usage in the menus so... i took the plunge and moved on up to hd . after using the dvx for years then watching crank 2 i decided to try it out.that and dslr's were to trendy for me...but now im on the look out for lenses to add and soem way to get 1440 to 1920 some how anamorphic squeeze to strech ....
but heres soem corny shots i piled into after effects..coming soon on an xha1 near you..

I'm still an xha1 user, not much anymore but still some jobs call for it. Not sure what you mean by DSLR's being trendy, if you mean that amazing lowlight ability, a choice of hundreds on lenses, and easily controlable DOF, with more DR is trendy, then I would agree.

You can easily uprez to 1920 in your editor when you output, Although I cant see a difference as far as quality from 1440 to 1920, one is using square pixels, the other is more rectangle if I recall correctly. Look in to a dof adapter, they look great on that cam, especially the handy35 v5 plus, or the sgblade, redrock m2 encore. it gives a more film like look.
