Didn't I see something about 32 GB for "about $1,000" by end of year?

This is the roadmap w/prices, the 4gb is now phased out (see how the dashed line stops).

    I want me some 16gb P2 action.

Any word on a P2 card reader that can be hooked to a modern MacBook Pro?

I thought that the P2 cards used a PCMCIA interface that all notebooks have?

Not all notebooks have them. A lot of them are moving to expresscard. There are several pc's that have both. Mac moved to expresscard. There is an expresscard --> PCMCIA adapter though, for those who only have expresscard.

I doubt Sony's product had any influence on it; I'd say it's more likely the influence of Fox, Australia's ABC, India's NDTV, Raycom, Media General, Cox, and all the other mass adopters of P2. These organizations are using thousands and thousands of P2 products, and these are big massive organizations. It's not just us individual users, it's networks and groups of stations, all buying these cards and all demanding lower prices.

Plus, apparently Hoodman really is going to produce a cheap knockoff P2 card! It can only get faster, better, and cheaper for the end users.

    4 gig - discontinued
    8 gig - about 600
    16 gig - about 900
32 gig - about 1300 (when they come out)
That's a huge drop from last time I checked. Because I'm lazy, what's the ballpark price for the readers?
