Thanks for posting... that is mind blowing. I can't imagine what we'll have in a few years.
Did you know that there will be self-ballasted CFLs with 200K electronic ballasts... bulbs that will output something like 4x the current lumens per watt?
It's an exciting time to be a lighting builder... there's so much more to the legal story then I can go into here. With the technology coming down the wire... you can see why some companies want to monopolize every aspect of lighting for video... production lighting is going to get incredible in the next few years... meaning what you can do for a given $$$... as long as the couple of aggressive players don't succeed in cornering the market before the cool sh*t even gets here. If they do... we'll be at their mercy to implement the new tech at a reasonable price.LIGHTING and SOUND AVAILABLE FOR DIGITAL DOWNLOAD OR ON DVD

I think the obvious first product would be a small single LED pepper fresnel. A very cute light on the order of the dedo size. Just not sure if people will be able to stomach the price. Once packaged in the right fixture, it wouldn't be as much as a dedo but for sure not close to the price of one of those cheap blueline knockoffs.Last edited by Cool Lights; 03-27-2007 at 06:07 PM.
