    Update: 4 March 2007

Script is complete, but not yet locked. Must add the banana scene (remembering at all times that this is a "Hard R" festival).

Casting has begun. Due to the nature of the project, casting will be on a "need to know" basis only. Expect surprises. Or not.

Storyboards will be commenced after script lock.

Locations are being scouted. This will be the second short we've done where we'll have filmed in at least two countries. Preparing my liver now ...

Music is being negotiated. The musician in question is a pro, so acquisition of licences may actually venture into the two-figure range. Very hopeful in that regard, based upon what I have heard so far.

Costumes have been scripted, researched and mail orders will be placed shortly under an assumed name.

All equipment has been acquired. In light of the new Rules, we're abandoning the HVX this time out in favour of my trusty Sony TRV21 (with 35mm adapter kit):

It's not digital, so it's pretty close to actually shooting on real film (at least that's what the salesman told me).

    Norm,

Something tells me you know more than you're revealing ...

Dude, you're paying me enough to write your script for you, I'd better know something!

Yeah - and you're already past your deadline, so where are the re-writes?

    Sheesh!

This looks like it will be hilarious....or dead serious....or intriguing...or mysterious....or just have a bunch of hot girls in it....did I cover everything?
24 hours in a day...6 for sleep...9 for work....that leaves 9 hours to do what you love.....what are you doing?

I think it is totally appropriate to include a banana too...even if it not a rule....do it.

I don't do comedy. But as for everything else you've mentioned ...

PayPal showed payment of the two figure sum being bounced by the bank? If I had known this in advance $#%@#$%.

Yeah, Brian not doing comedy is like saying rain doesn't fall down. The guy's hilarious. This should be good.

Love the Sony TRV ... GENIOUS!
