    Hello writers,

We are a small and fairly new production company based in Istanbul, Turkey. We are currently preparing two feature length documentaries, one funded by the European Union, the other as a coproduction with a French company.

We are looking for interesting feature length screenplays to produce and direct. We are open to all ideas and genres (although we have a particular interest in intelligent and original film noir). However this should be a no/lo budget film as we have limited financial means. Also this film will be doing the festival circuit so only suitable projects please.

We can only shoot in this area of the world so no location specific stories.

Also keep in mind that we have no money to pay for your script until after (and if) we manage to earn any money with the film.

Language is not an issue as we can translate as well as shoot in english if the project calls for it.

You can contact me at ramin@giyotinfilm.com

    Thanks.

I don't know, this sounds like like a good deal to me. And the amazing thing is my last 5 scripts are all Turkish stories. Here they are, just let me know which one you want.

    1) "Turkish Delight"
    2) "Debbie Does Istanbul"
    3) "A Harem for Hamurabi"
    4) "Turkeys, Donkeys, and Gerbils, Oh my!"
    5) "Turkey Necks, 1001 Uses" (documentary)

    Now, now. Play nicely.

I know what you mean, though. They want jam on it, don't they? Intelligent, original, full-length, no budget needed, and all for no money. Should I throw in my first-born child?

Ah, yes, the graveyard of one's creativity. We all have one, but I think we secretly hope the boneyard turns out to be the Pet Semetary...without all the blood and screaming and general killing-everybody thing, of course.

But I bet someone's script will find its home with Ramin.

BTW, when I said, Should I throw in my first-born child, I didn't mean it figuratively, ie, first-born child= my first script. I meant it sarcastically, as in the Rumplestiltskin story, ie first-born child=little Mitsouko/Kitty Rose/Ninevah/Cleo (sadly, have named my children before I've even met a potential father).

right. no, i know. i was speaking facetiously and didn't mean to be taken literally when turning that phrase figuratively on its head... wait, huh? i've confused myself.

    ...cute names, btw.
