--UPDATES BELOW--
Hey everyone,
Like many here, I've been an occasional poster when really in a jam but more than anything, I'm an avid reader. The fests in the past have always been impressive to me because of the professional nature of the work entered. So instead sitting of the sidelines again, I decided to drag myself, my friend (and business partner) and some wonderful friends into making a film for this go around. I've avoided posting about it until now because I wanted to be sure it was going to be done in time. It looks like we're gonna make it. So, without further ado, Brian Thesing and Finnian Riley present:
A film about being caught in the middle of your life.
We poured ourselves into this film. And in the end, lived every second of the tale it's telling. We hope you enjoy it next week!
Now since the places I haunt the most on this site are the more techy bits, here's the low-down on the specs:
Camera:
DVX100a w/Letus35a adaptor
Canon FD 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 80-200 4

2-600w Teenie Weenie Mole open faced for softbox

**UPDATE** 1/31/07
I am happy to report that we have finished and uploaded our film! It really came down to the wire there for a bit, but I somehow plowed through to the end. To celebrate I'm going to post some more BTS shots, mostly because I want everyone who worked on this film to know we really couldn't have done it without them!!
Thanks again guys, I hope you enjoy it.
Brian chills between takes as James and I tweak.
Mira checks hair and makeup.
Cho does some more of everything... I mean everything.
Inga: Actress/Still Photographer/Biggest Supporter of the Film
Linda takes a much needed breather.
Picture editorial can be fun. Occasionally.
A real Eric sweetens the sound.

Lastly, thanks to all on this board who keep it alive and have made it a wonderful place to learn and share. Good luck to everybody.

And how would you define the 'middle' of one's life?

Sweet poster. Is that a a grab or a still? What small monitor is that I see attached to your DVX?

It's more of a look at a period in someone's life rather than a generic time of life. In other words, it not about being "middle-aged". We're hoping to examine a common feeling about transitions that take place, but that's all I can really say for now. Hope that helps.
