    Hello, everyone.

UKP will be my first entry in a Dvxuser film festival; I haunt these boards more often than not, but I don't know anyone personally. I've found great technical information here and am looking forward to seeing the other films.

I wrote the screenplay for UKP in December and we shot the project over the course of one evening (quickest shoot I've ever been on). I hope it will be a fun flick to watch. One of my goals is to create a product that will carry the audience from cut to cut right to the end - which may sound like a giant "Duh!", but to me it's the difference between successful storytelling and not.

My crew consisted of the most dedicated individual I've ever met in the indy film scene, Derek Nickell (a.k.a. Baynewerkz), a guy I would have at my back every time I shoot.

Steve "The Tooth" Spiker captured sound for us, serving as boom op, sound tech, and final mixer. Robert Eldon of Quiet Harbor Studios lent us his Oktava, a single gesture of generosity that instantly boosted our production value.

Ivan Borntrager and Mary Volpe-Dawson - no, I can't give out their contact information (they're mine, all mine ...) - to these actors I owe pretty much everything; specifically, I owe them a product they can show other people.

And, of course, I couldn't have done anything without the support of my wife and daughter, without whom I would be a little less than nothing today.

Thanks for reading, see you February 1st.

    Welcome to the fest!

I like your poster design, are those digital stills or from the film itself? They look really nice.

Awesome awesome choice of poster design. I love how the top is very cool hued and the bottom is warmer.

Does UKP stand for something that I'm totally oblivious to, or is it something we'll need to see the film to understand?

    Looking forward to seeing it.
