anyone have any experiences that they could share about prop weapons (rentals)?
non-firing blanks, plastic molded fakes? Where did you find them?

I just bought a couple from here:

    http://www.replicaweaponry.com/replicaguns.html

They're so cheap, you might as well buy as rent.

I'd like to buy them but having a ton of props in my house collecting dust
after the shoot sounds like no fun to me Baltimore cops might get the
wrong idea about me if I'm stopped with 8-10 replica guns returning
    from a late night shoot

No ociffer. I have not binge drinkin'.

well, there is a rental house I know of in NYC called Centre Firearms, but that's not going to help you much down there.

I saw a thread on this subject about 2 months ago that also included an interesting discussion about handling muzzle flashes in post. I'd suggest doing a search of the forum.

Mark J. I actaully just finished reading through a thread similar to the one you described but it was from 2004 when you posted...

Mark H. Never realized that the springloaded Tokyo Marui guns were so cheap?

I don't think those are legal in NYC.

    Plus, I can't get effective 6-shooters.

Mark, did the guns you ordered have those orange plugs in the barrel? If so, Do you have to digital remove the plugs?
