Blu-ray or HD-DVD? How about a player for both? or a disc for both? Is this progress?

As the 'DVD format wars' between the competing, incompatible, HD-disc formats (Blu-ray and HD-DVD) rage on; two companies simultaneously, and rather ironically, release opposite "solutions" to the format problem at CES.

LG announced a player that can play both format discs.

This has allready been discussed here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=83301

(Here's the twist) At the same time, at the same event....

Warner Brothers is announcing the "Total HD" disc that will work in both format players.

My only question is: Will LG's new player, play Total-HD discs?

The Xbox's HD DVD add on unit is only $200, which is STILL cheaper than a new PS3.

DOWN WITH SONY!!! (except for Vegas)
