    I'm building a block-diagram of the complete Red One data pipeline from acquisition to down-rezing/correction. I'm unclear whether the camera does any downrezing from 4K in-camera or if that all happens with Red Cine.

    Yes. Downrez in camera from 4k to 1080p RGB (max frame rate 60 fps) and 720p RGB (max frame rate 60 fps).

    1) in-camera, lower resoltion is recorded
    2) through REDCINE in post-production after recording
    3) in any application that is able to load REDCODE and can resample (in post-production after recording)

    I'd add as favorites downrez modes:

    1st) from 4K@24fps or 25fps to any downsampled format via REDCINE;

    2nd) and 1080 RGB@60fps for slow motion purposes -- being afterwards uprezzed to 4K through REDCINE? [for 4K online editing as future proof] or choosing the 1080p as versatile format or even 2K as intermediate format and less expensive film-output largely used by indies*] but always coming from the 9.4 megapixels (35mm size), that is 4K.

    * Even if I consider the 4K as the king format especially after the RED launch and whatever will be the intermediate 'layer', whether as 4K digital negative (as future option and my bet) whether not only, but still more (or even less) -- it doesn't matter where but 4K will be there.
