Using VX100 as deck

Hi list,


A first post. I need to use my camera as a deck for the first time on one particular tape. I am in VCR move, in the menu I have DV Out checked, I can shuttle throug the tape via firewire yet when I try to capture in FCP I get an error that there is no video signal. Wondering if there's a there a setting that I'm missing.

change you capture logging from non controllable device to DV Firewire or DV Firewire Basic.
if that doesnt work... maybe trash prefs.

Thanks Michael,

I just needed to restart FCP and it worked. I was expecting a lot to assume the camera was "hot swapable."
